Justine (Loli Box)
BURLESQUE TEACHER, PERFORMER
Justine has been a passionate dancer since the age of five. Over the years she has trained in and explored many dance styles such as classical, jazz, tap, pole dancing and hip hop. With an interest in femininity Justine became a professional beauty therapist. Combining this with her avid passion for dance and performance Justine was drawn towards Burlesque.
She began her exploration at Bottoms Up! back in 2009 and has since developed many character based acts (under the guise of Loli Box) which have been seen at Australian Burlesque Festival (placing top 5 in the Miss Burlesque Victoria 2012); Baby Bombshells – Australian Burlesque Festival; Carnivale, Monsterotica, Kapow, Underworld and Faerie Tales (Thornbury Theatre); Scandalous and Mini-Monsterotica (Red Bennies) just to name a few!
More recently you would have seen Justine onstage in the Miss Burlesque Victoria finals 2014 and Australian Burlesque Festival’s Empress Nouvelle 2015. Loli Box also performs regularly around Melbourne with “The Cheese Girls” and “Chest of Wonders Cabaret”.
As a performer, Justine has a great love for pushing the boundaries and exploring all aspects of burlesque from classical to neo. As a teacher at Bottoms Up! Justine is excited to be sharing her skills and passion with her students and loves helping them develop their skills in the beautiful art form of Burlesque!
